Negative Effects Of Mobile Phones
Despite the numerous benefits accompanied with mobile phones, as with most things in our world today, they most most certainly have their downsides, some of which include:
- Security Risks/Issues - since mobile phones are small they can be easily lost/misplaced and if found in the wrong hands, may result in violation of privacy, data and/or identity theft, among others.
- Neglection of studies - one might be focusing on/ using mobile phones for long periods of time to the point were they neglect their school work
- Negative impact of health - Excessive use of mobile phones have been proven to have detrimental effects on one's health. Example staring at a screen for hours on end can cause headaches, affect one's vision and has also been associated with poor sleeping patterns.
- Information overload - as a result of information being so easily accessible, people are being fed too much information on certain topics such as murders and other depressing content with can cause an increase of fear and anger within the person
- Decreased Social Interaction - mobile phones are highly addictive and distracting so they can cause a person to isolate themselves instead of interacting directly with their peers
